Maintenance — what and how often
Chemical cleaning of the indoor filter and evaporator, washing the outdoor condenser, clearing the drain line, measuring refrigerant pressure and electrical values. Once a year (spring) at home, twice a year in busy offices and shops. A maintained unit uses less electricity, runs quieter and the compressor lasts longer.
Refrigerant charging
Refrigerant does not "run out"; if it is low there is a leak. Charging alone postpones the problem. We find the leak with a nitrogen test, repair it, vacuum the system and charge the manufacturer's stated amount (R32 or R410A) — type and quantity recorded on your report.
Installation
Poor outdoor-unit placement, short or unsloped copper lines, weak vacuum and bad drainage are the most common installation faults. We size the unit to the room, insulation and sun exposure and report leak, vacuum and commissioning tests. Relocation includes refrigerant recovery so nothing is lost.

How long does maintenance take?
A full service of one split unit takes about 45–60 minutes; the unit can be used the same day.
My AC drips water — is it serious?
Usually a blocked drain line or dirty evaporator, fixed quickly. Occasionally icing from low refrigerant causes dripping; then a leak check is done.
Is heating with the AC in winter economical?
Yes. Inverter units work as heat pumps and deliver 3–4 times the heat of the electricity they use — far cheaper than electric heaters in Istanbul's mild winter.
