A boiler's life and efficiency depend largely on installation quality: the wrong capacity, an unsuitable flue or a new appliance on a sludged system starts failing in its first winter. So we survey first, and only install when appliance, flue and pipework fit together.

What the survey covers

• Capacity (kW) — floor area, insulation, radiator count and hot-water demand; a bigger boiler does not heat better, it short-cycles and burns more
• Flue — room-sealed flue clearances, flue material and fall on condensing models, façade rules
• Pipework — flow/return sizes, sludge in old systems (pre-installation flushing if needed), expansion and filter requirements
• Gas and electrics — gas project compliance, meter capacity, earthing
• Condensate — drain connection on condensing models

Switching to condensing

A conventional boiler sends flue gas out at roughly 120–150 °C; a condensing boiler recovers part of that heat and uses noticeably less gas for the same comfort. Flue, condensate drain and sometimes radiator balancing are re-arranged in the upgrade; we plan these together at the survey.

Installation day

1. Old appliance removed, gas and water lines capped
2. New boiler hung, flue and connections made; a dirt-separator filter fitted on the return
3. System filled, vented, pressure set
4. Gas leak test and first start; gas/air ratio confirmed with a flue-gas analyser
5. Hand-over training: pressure, reset, room thermostat, winter/summer mode
6. Installation form and warranty documents

As an independent service we don't push a brand; we present options from DemirDöküm, Vaillant, Baymak, Protherm, E.C.A., Bosch and Buderus by capacity and budget. Supply the boiler yourself or through us — installation labour is guaranteed in writing either way. Where the manufacturer's warranty requires an authorised first-start record, we tell you.
